- Jackals Dream is a holiday home (self catering) for up to 8 persons.
- Minimum stay of 3 nights and 5 nights in high season (school holidays like Easter and Christmas).
- Booking costs, tourist tax, bed- and bath linen are included.
- We charge a safety deposit of ZAR 3.500,- per stay.
- We also charge a
cleaning fee
(standard cleaning)
of ZAR 750,- per booking.
Safety Deposit
The safety deposit will be refunded to your account within 10 working days after your stay. We will refund fully if no defects have been found and you have stayed at and left the house in accordance with our house rules and the rules of Marloth Park.
Costs for damage, excessive cleaning or breaking house rules (and Marloth Park rules) will be deducted from your deposit.
Conditions and rules
We kindly ask you to treat and respect our home and the environment as if it would be your own.
Of course you stay at, and leave the house in accordance with our house rules and Marloth Park rules. We advise to read them very carefully before you book, as these automatically apply to all our guests after booking at Jackals Dream.
No parties, loud music or other disturbance in Marloth Park - Jackals Dream
Marloth Park is a nature conservancy where wildlife roams freely. The rules of Marloth Park are very clear and apply to all our guests. You accept these rules automatically by entering Marloth Park and Jackals Dream.
We maintain a no-tolerance policy on parties, noise and other disturbance. This means parties, loud music/ noise and other disturbance are not allowed. If security has been called to Jackals Dream because of disturbance by guests, we will first give you a warning. Might security been called a second time, you will get a fine and you loose your safety deposit of ZAR 3.500,-. And in the, hopefully unlikely, event security has been called a third time OR in very serious cases of noise or other disturbance you will be escorted out of Marloth Park (no refunds will be given).
Information about arrival and departure
Arrival between 3 pm and 6 pm (before dark).
Check out before 10.00 am on the day of departure.
Always provide your estimated time of arrival.
Our hostess is waiting for you at the location.
What is included with the price?
Our prices include towels (bring your own towels for the pool!) and bed linen. The house is a self catering accommodation. We do ensure that some consumables such as toilet paper, soap, coffee, tea and a dishwasher tablet are ready for the first moments after arrival. These items are not added during your stay and must therefore be supplemented for your own use.
The most important (and easy) house rule before departure is:
The accommodation must be left ready for cleaning, the dishes done and everything put back in it's place in one piece.
Tip: Arrange for an extra cleaning with our hostess if you know in advance this will not work for you.
NOTE: We charge a security deposit of ZAR3.500,- per stay. This will be refunded to your account within 10 working days after your stay, if you have follwed our houserules and no defects have been found or occured during your stay. Per stay we charge a cleaning fee of ZAR750,- for basic cleaning.

Ice, wood, extra cleaning?
Would you like ice in the freezer upon arrival? Braaihout to be able to braai immediately or an extra cleaning during your stay? We are happy to organize this for you at a rate. Ask us about the possibilities.
Extra cleaning can be booked until 3 days in advance and is not possible in the weekends.
We have a washer and dryer availible for our guests.
